Meet Providence's Class 4 back in 2006 (left).  The photo on the right shows a number of those same kids, in 2014, who had just successfully completed their Class 12 exams!  Six of the seven have jobs, and five are pursuing studies toward an eventual bachelors degree.

"William" (in both photos) is now working as a bookkeeper for a retail business and he is taking classes at St. Edmunds College.  Also in both photos, "Mary" survived extreme hardship in her young life, and is now working and pursuing a degree.

Both of these remarkable young people were recipients of the local Darred Allya award and prize given to the outstanding student citizen each year at Providence.

Without Providence, their success would be in doubt.

The above photo was taken during visit to one of the students' homes in 2006.  The mother, in the plaid shawl, died shortly after this photo was taken.  Seeing a doctor was not an option. This is the unfortunate reality for the students and their families.

By restoring dignity, creating an academic start, and teaching life sustaining skills, we aim to give these children a chance at life.

100% of funds raised by these efforts go to the children and the school.  Volunteers cover any and all overhead costs.  And all funds are designated for the corpus/endowment so they will continue to provide support to the school indefinitely.
